I even asked some security personel once, and they couln't see any reason to take them away from me! That's not just Norwegian inland flying either, I've knitted my way to both England and Italy! How frustrating! Is this in Sweden that they are taking your needles? I have been knitting on airplanes for years. I usually start out in the States. I only carry circular needles, however (addi turbos) And I contend that a pen or pencil is a better weapon that an knitting needle of any size or shape. Oh I love the tagging!!!
